Tiny Light Bailey gives the best hugs. She doesn't let anything slow her down as she drives on the machinery at the family farm with her dad or helps her mom with cooking.
When Bailey was 10 months old, her parents found out she had suffered a stroke while in the womb. Doctors told them she would never walk. But Bailey is a determined little girl and two years later she proved the doctors wrong -- and gave her dad a great present -- by taking her first steps on Father's Day!
A few years later, Bailey was dealt another challenge when she was diagnosed with epilepsy. She struggled with seizures for a while, but after trying many medications, doctors finally found one that worked for her and she has been seizure free for over two years.
Recently Bailey has been in a stroke research project at a children's hospital which includes aggressive therapy to help her regain movement in her left side. And while Bailey works hard at that, she also loves to play with her dogs, cats and cows and to read and colour. Her mother is very proud of her Tiny Light's efforts to live life to the fullest. "To watch her grow and watch her determination for life just wows me. She doesn't let anything stand in her way."
