There is a little less sparkle and magic in the world tonight. Beautiful Tiny Light Brynlea has lost her battle, just a week and half away from what would have been her sixth birthday.

Brynlea endured so much in her short life while undergoing treatment for an undiagnosed metabolic and gastrointestinal disorder. She could not eat and was fed 24 hours a day, through her central lines, with IV nutrition called TPN. She also had a number of other serious medical issues, including migraines, hypertension and hypoglycemia. This brave girl underwent countless surgeries and procedures, spending much of her time in the hospital.

Through it all, Brynlea always had a smile on her face. The sparkles in her eyes would light up the entire room. She loved dancing and playing soccer. Even though she couldn’t eat, she enjoyed baking cookies and cupcakes, wanting to be “Brynlea Baker” when she grew up. Her dreams also included helping other sick children. She wanted to be a “Tubie Doctor” so she could put tubes like hers in other little girls and boys to make them feel better.

Brynlea was a fierce fighter right from when she was born, but her little body just could not hold on any longer.

Tiny Light Brynlea was adored by all, but especially her little brother Keltan. Her parents Kristy and Michael say their daughter had a magical spirit. “Everyone who met her fell instantly in love. She taught love, endurance, bravery and an incredible will to go on. She was our hero.”
