Seth's Story

Meet Tiny Light Seth. He enjoys biking, swimming and playing outside with his friends. He is also a helpful tiny light who is always quick to offer assistance to anybody and everybody.

At just two years old, it was discovered that Seth had a tumor on his left kidney. Tests done by his doctors to determine the type of cancer came back as inconclusive. Four days after the discovery of the tumor, Seth underwent surgery to have his kidney removed. Unfortunately, the success of the surgery only lasted a short time as five months later, Seth’s doctors found three tumors in both of his lungs. These tumors were of the same nature as the first, and all test results came back as inconclusive.  Having no information about the type of cancer, its behaviour or chances of survival was one of the most difficult aspects of Seth’s journey.

After undergoing chemotherapy, Seth is now cancer-free. His parents admire the strength he showed, having never complained and always looked at each hurdle like a new adventure. Their advice to other parents is to always “keep your faith because you never know what will be the outcome of such a journey.” They hope that their tiny light will remain healthy, appreciate life and all it has to offer, and that “his story might give inspiration and faith to others.”
