In his short seven months of life, Tiny Light Jacob has felt enough love to last a lifetime.  This beautiful miracle baby is so full of joy, despite all the difficulties he has faced, and he is an inspiration to everyone around him.

Jacob was born with severe hydrocephalus (water on the brain) but managed to survive his birth. Then at three months, he started having seizures. Doctors diagnosed him with an aggressive and rare form of brain cancer that had spread to his spine. There is no cure for this type of cancer. Jacob’s parents faced a heartbreaking choice – enjoy the short time they had left together at home or watch their son endure numerous medical procedures just to prolong his life by a few months. They bravely choose to make the best of the little time Jacob has left.

There have been many smiles and laughs, especially with big brother Kamden. Jacob loves cuddles and playing in the tub or pool. He enjoys watching Curious George and listening to Kamden sing. This strong little boy always has a smile on his face, even moments after coming out of brain surgery.

Sadly Jacob’s condition is quickly deteriorating. This Tiny Light doesn’t have much time left, but he has taught his family so much about living each day to the fullest.  His mom Amanda says, “Enjoy every moment you have with your child. Put your emotions on hold when they are near. They are still here so treat them that way. I’m not saying it’s easy, but if you want to enjoy the time you have with your child you will find a way.”
